4 – Requirements for Mobile Supply Unit (MSU)

Name of the system:

Requirements for Mobile Supply Unit (MSU)

Lead entity within the SAMMBA consortium:

MT Aerospace (reach out to us here)

Attachment point within the process chain of the Spaceport operator:

The system is responsible for providing conditioning to the launcher and enables the provisioning of power, air conditioning, other consumables, and everything needed for the launcher and payload during transport.

Major benefit within the process chain:

The system can lead to a reduction in costs. The saved amount is hereby dependent on the type of needed unit which depends both on the launcher and the payload.

Anticipated R&D vector for the near/mid/long-term:

The anticipated near-term activities would include obtaining needed information from launcher and payload well as gathering cost breakdowns with COTS elements. This would pave the way toward an operational mobile supply unit in the mid-term.

Modularity granted with the following standards:

Modularity depends on information that is currently not available.

Interoperability granted with the following standards:

To launcher, to payload, to transport mean, etc…

Systems interfaced:

Launcher, Launch base, AGV, mechanical structures
